Being Thankful

There are so many things to be thankful for this year; it has been a rough one personally but I am so thankful that Bob has pulled through so well from these challenging last three years. It has made both of us appreciate family and life in general, so much more.

Now, on to quilty things...

For those wanting a smaller LoneStar Block, the Migrating LoneStar is perfect! Its amazing how simple it is to make on our foundations. And no mountain of fabric in the middle when its all done. The foundation keeps those bias edges from stretching but it doesn't add any bulk or weight to the quilt. The spaces are not only numbered, but are labeled for which fabric goes in each spot, making it even easier to keep the colors where they should be. These Grunge Fabrics are in the Migrating LoneStar Fabric Kit.

I will be teaching this Wedding Star Table Runner at the Mid-Atlantic Quilt Show in Hampton, Virginia at the end of February. We will be learning how to make such easy curves and matching perfect points with ease. This is a great class to hone those paper/foundation piecing skills. Plus, we always try to have fun in our classes. Fabric kits are available for this Wedding Star Table Runner as well.

This Welcome Home Runner is what I will be teaching in my Beginning Foundation Piecing Class at the Mid-Atlantic Quilt Show in Hampton, Virginia at the end of February. It is a perfect block to learn the basic techniques for paper/foundation piecing. I will have fabric kits available for the class in several different color-ways. The kits will also be available on the website as the color groups come into the studio over the next few weeks.
